Shampoo Foamer

Sale price$25.00

The shampoo foamer is a compact and convenient foam cannon that connects to a garden hose and has been designed to foam up shampoos into a light and slick shampoo covering. Easily and quickly cover a horses coat in shampoo whilst reducing shampoo usage with an 8/1 dilution mixture. The shampoo foamer when used with Horse Cleaning concentrated shampoos will lift dirt and dandruff easily and quickly, reducing bathing time in half for a quick and hassle-free horse bath.

The shampoo foamer is compact and convenient to use with a standard UK garden hose, no pressure washer is necessary! The foamer uses a dilution rate of 8/1 resulting in less than 100ml of shampoo used per wash and dispensing a nice and even shampoo foam over a horses coat and tail hair.

Users can adjust the foam rate with 5 settings for more or less foam based on personal preference. Setting the foamer to the '0' setting enables water to bypass the shampoo container, otherwise known as the rinse mode.

How does it work?

  • Add 100ml of Horse Cleaning shampoo with 800ml of water to the white container (fill lines are provided on the outside of the container)
  • Connect the shampoo foamer to your garden hose via the standard HozeLock AquaStop connector (sku2075)
  • Turn on the water hose and set dilution density from 0 through to 5. The 0 setting is rinse/water only mode and 5 for extra foam
  • Spray horse using the '0' setting to wet the coat/hair then change to the desired foam setting and apply shampoo. For an extra deep clean, agitate the shampoo foam with a wash brush or sponge before rinsing the shampoo completely

How are spooky horses with the shampoo foamer?

If your horse is fine being hosed down with a garden hose, then it will be able to adapt to the shampoo foamer very easily. We suggest users turn the foamer on first of all away from the horse so they get used to the sound of the water running through the nozzle and not startled, then introduce the foamer to the horse slowly, we tend to suggest starting at the legs and slowly moving around the horse's body.

If you have a spooky horse, we recommend on the first go to just keep the foamer to the rinse only mode and allow the horse to get used to the water sensation and then come back another day to introduce the foaming mode and allowing the horse to get used to bathing with water and shampoo. Like most things when it comes to desensitizing horses to new objects, a slow and steady approach pays dividends! Rushing and adding pressure to a horse will usually build up tension for the horse and they will associate bathing to being an unpleasant experience, similar to horses with horse clipping, slow and steady is the way :)
